The appeal here is straightforward and well-executed: Feng Jiu is fun to watch specifically because she doesn't absorb abuse quietly. Every arc gives her a new set of people underestimating her, and the payoff of watching her flip that dynamic is the series' bread and butter. Her specific skill set, medicine and poison rather than generic combat power, keeps her victories feeling earned and specific rather than just another overpowered lead steamrolling obstacles.

The art is a real strength too, full color and detailed enough that character and costume design stays distinct across a genuinely long run. That matters more than it sounds like it should in a genre this crowded, a lot of similar manhua blur together visually, and this one doesn't. The central romance with the male lead develops at a reasonable pace alongside the revenge plot, giving the story some emotional variety without pulling focus from what actually drives the series forward.
