The art is polished and expressive. Faces sell every smug, panicked, and triumphant moment, which matters a lot in a story this driven by people getting their comeuppance. The color work is clean and easy on the eyes, and the whole thing looks premium on a phone screen.

The pacing is tight, too. It knows what you came for and doesn't waste your time getting there. The lead is easy to root for, and her shift from a beaten-down victim to someone calm and in control is the real engine here; you want to see her win, and the book keeps giving you reasons to.

Where it falls short

The villains are cartoonishly awful. They're fun to hate, but they're so one-note that there's never any real moral grey or doubt about who's in the right. You're never wrestling with anything; you're just waiting for the bad people to lose.

The villains are thin and the outcome is never really in doubt, but that isn't the point. Come for the catharsis, the polished art, and a lead you'll happily cheer for, and it's very hard to put down. As a comfort-revenge binge, it's about as good as the genre gets.
