Overview

Seonghyeon Han survived a violent crime that left him with impaired legs and a fear of stepping outside his own front door. When he's told he has 24 hours before being pulled into another dimension, whether he likes it or not, he doesn't run from it so much as find a loophole: he's gained the power to create clones, so he sends one through the portal in his place. His real body gets to stay home, safe. His clone gets to have the adventure. What starts as a way to avoid danger turns into something neither Seonghyeon nor his clones expected.

What it does well

The hook does something most power-fantasy webtoons don't bother with: it takes disability and trauma seriously as the reason the premise exists in the first place, instead of using a tragic backstory as a throwaway motivator. Seonghyeon's fear of the outside world isn't cured the moment he gets powers; it's the reason his powers work the way they do, letting him engage with danger at a remove instead of forcing him to confront it head-on before he's ready.

The clone mechanic also gives the story a genuinely different shape than the usual solo-adventurer format. Because Seonghyeon can experience the other dimension through a version of himself that isn't, strictly, him, the manhwa gets to explore both the appeal and the limits of experiencing life at a safe distance, which is a more interesting question than most action webtoons ask.

The action itself benefits from the clone gimmick too, since fights can use the clones' expendability in ways a single, irreplaceable protagonist can't.

Where it falls short

The premise is strong, but it's also still early in its run, and some of the emotional groundwork around Seonghyeon's trauma gets less room than the action once the clones start adventuring in earnest.

Because the "real" Seonghyeon stays physically removed from most of the danger, the story has to work harder to keep the stakes feeling personal rather than abstract, and it doesn't always fully land that balance yet.

Verdict

This is a power fantasy that actually interrogates what it means to experience danger secondhand, built around a lead whose limitations shape the story instead of getting waved away. It's still finding its full footing, but the clone hook gives it a genuinely different angle on a familiar genre, and that's worth following.
