At 63 chapters, the story moves through its setup, complications, and resolution without dragging its feet, which keeps the central romance from overstaying its welcome. And once the contract premise gives way to real feelings between the leads, the chemistry reads as genuine rather than mechanical — helped by the story being honest with itself about being a comfort read rather than a prestige drama.
