What it does well

The double identity is the engine of this manhwa, and it's a smarter setup than it first looks. Echineacea isn't hiding a secret identity for the usual reasons — she's trying to outrun a version of herself she already knows is possible, which gives every scene where she has to draw her sword a little extra tension. She's capable enough to be genuinely dangerous, and self-aware enough to know exactly what that capability cost her the first time.

Her relationship with Captain Eurien carries real weight because of that history. He doesn't remember any of it, so what reads as a slow-building connection to him is, to Echineacea, an attempt to rebuild something she destroyed — and the story lets that asymmetry sit rather than rushing to close the gap.

The curse itself is doing more work than a typical regression power-up. It's tied directly to why she failed the people around her before, which keeps the premise pointed at why things went wrong rather than just giving her a second attempt with better information.

Where it falls short

Being ongoing means the full picture of the curse — where it came from, what it actually demands of her — is still filling in, and a few threads feel like they're waiting on chapters not yet released. Readers who want the mechanics of the regression itself explained up front may find the story more comfortable leaving that vague for now.

The knighthood setting also asks a little more patience up front than a court-politics revenge story would. There's rank structure, dueling conventions, and swordplay terminology to get oriented in before the character dynamics really take over.

This is a regression story with sharper stakes than "undo one betrayal" — Echineacea is trying to become a fundamentally different person before circumstances force her hand again, and that framing carries the story well even with some of its bigger questions still open.
