That boss turns out to be Daniel Yoon, the much younger CEO of a tech company — and the two of them slowly shift from a prickly employer-and-assistant standoff into something more. It's a slow-burn, age-gap rom-com (older woman, younger man) with a workplace setup and a steady stream of comedy.

What it does well

The setup is the hook, and it's a good one. Flipping the usual romance dynamic so the woman is the older one is still refreshing, and Enjelicious gets real chemistry out of the two leads. Their early back-and-forth — she's flustered and broke, he's awkward and guarded — is funny, and the banter keeps things light even when the plot gets soapy.

The art is a big part of the appeal. It's polished full color with cute, expressive character designs and clean paneling that reads smoothly in the vertical scroll. It looks exactly the way a comfort-read romance should.

Rose herself carries a lot of it. She's a likable, relatable lead worried about normal things — getting older, money, her career, dating after a breakup — which keeps the story grounded enough that the wish-fulfillment goes down easy. And because the series is complete, you can binge the whole romance start to finish without waiting on weekly drops, which is the ideal way to read something this breezy.

Where it falls short

The main limitation is predictability. Age Matters hits all the familiar rom-com beats — convenient misunderstandings, a love triangle, plenty of will-they-won't-they stalling — and rarely does anything you won't see coming. If you've read a few romance webtoons, the shape of this one will feel very familiar.

It also gets melodramatic. Some of the conflict feels manufactured to keep the leads apart a little longer, and the drama can be more frustrating than tense. And there isn't much underneath the romance — the story is the relationship and not a lot else, so if you want a meatier plot or real depth, this will read as thin.

Age Matters is a fun, fluffy age-gap rom-com that does exactly what it sets out to do. If you want a feel-good romance with charming art, likable leads, and an easy binge, it's a solid pick and an easy entry point if you're new to webtoon romance. If you're after something deep or genuinely unpredictable, this isn't it — but it never pretends to be, and on its own comfort-read terms it delivers.
