It's a lean, focused revenge story with a sharp visual style, and it's still early in its run.

What it does well

The art carries it. Takeru Hokazono uses heavy shadow, clean silhouettes, and well-timed page turns to make the sword fights feel sharp and weighty instead of cluttered. For a relatively new artist, the action staging is confident, and the book has a distinct look the moment you open it.

Chihiro is a good anchor for a revenge plot because he's not a loud, screaming underdog. He's quiet and controlled, channeling his anger into something focused, and that restraint makes him more interesting than the genre default.
