Overview

Positively Yours starts with a rough night. Hee-won has quietly been in love with her best friend — who's now dating her other best friend. Bummed out, she decides to cut loose for once and spends the night with a handsome stranger. One problem: she ends up pregnant. The stranger, a buttoned-up guy named Doo-joon, turns out to be very much back in her life, and he's set on doing the responsible thing and marrying her. From there it's an adult romance about two people trying to build something real out of a very unplanned start. It's a completed Korean webtoon by writer Lee Jung and artist Kang Ki, and it was popular enough to get a live-action drama in 2026.

What it does well

The biggest thing it has going for it is that the leads are grown-ups. This isn't a high-school crush story — these are adults with jobs, apartments, and a pregnancy to figure out, and that grounded setup gives the romance some actual weight. Hee-won is easy to root for, and Doo-joon's stiff, do-the-right-thing personality plays off her nicely.

It's also just comfortable to read. The tone is warm and low on manufactured drama — fewer evil exes and shock twists, more two people slowly getting used to each other. If you're tired of romances that run on a single misunderstanding stretched across fifty episodes, the relatively settled dynamic here is a relief.

The art does its job well. It's clean full-color webtoon work with expressive characters and soft, appealing coloring — nothing flashy, but it suits the cozy mood and reads smoothly on a phone. And because it's complete, you get a full arc with a real ending instead of an open-ended ongoing.

Where it falls short

You have to buy the premise. The jump from one-night stand to "let's get married and raise this kid" is fast, and if you don't go along with it early, the whole story sits on a foundation you're side-eyeing the entire time.

The trade-off for all that low-drama warmth is that the stakes stay small. Conflicts tend to resolve gently, and readers who want real tension or a slow-burn ache may find it slight. A few of the beats — the meddling family, the awkward run-ins — are familiar romance furniture you've seen before. The middle stretch can coast, too, which is a common webtoon problem once a series settles into its couple.

Positively Yours is comfort reading, plain and simple. It's a warm, grown-up romance with likable leads and an easy, bingeable pace, and the fact that it's finished makes it a low-risk weekend read. It won't blow you away or break new ground, and the premise asks for some early goodwill — but if a cozy adult romcom is what you're after, this one delivers.
