Jiang Cheng dies and wakes up in a fantasy game world as a skeleton — specifically the worst kind of skeleton, a disposable summon barely worth a second glance, conjured by a group of female players using necromancy. What nobody expects is that his summon comes with a limitless evolution system attached, and it's not long before the game's weakest monster starts working its way up the food chain, one kill at a time.

What it does well

The evolution hook is exactly the kind of simple, satisfying premise this genre lives on: start at rock bottom, get visibly and mechanically stronger, and watch the people who underestimated you start to panic. When Jiang Cheng actually cuts loose in a fight, the art steps up too — the monster designs and power effects are more ambitious than you'd expect from a title this thin on other fronts, and the pacing doesn't waste time getting to the good part.

Where it falls short

Everything around that hook is underbuilt. The summoners and other players exist mostly to be surprised by Jiang Cheng rather than as characters with their own motivations, and some of the humor aimed at the female cast leans into harassment-style gags that land as mean rather than playful — it's a real complaint from readers, not just a matter of taste. The bigger issue is availability: only a handful of chapters have ever been translated, and the series has sat stalled for well over a year without picking back up, so there's no real arc to point to yet, just an opening stretch.

Verdict

As a short burst of reincarnated-as-a-monster power fantasy, the idea works, and the fights look good when they happen. But with the story stalled this early and the surrounding writing this thin, there isn't much here yet beyond a fun premise waiting for more chapters that may never come.
