Act Like You Love Me! is a fun rom-com webtoon with a wish-fulfillment hook. Ji-eon is a broke, overworked 25-year-old who, thanks to a temp-job mix-up, ends up spending a day as the personal assistant to Doyun Nam, a famous and thoroughly arrogant actor. After he treats her terribly, she takes her frustration out on a little doll, only to discover that the doll magically controls him, letting her boss the star around for once. What starts as petty payback slowly warms into something more as the two actually get to know each other. It's a light, comedic supernatural romance, and it's complete.

What it does well

The hook is a great engine. There's an immediate, satisfying comedy in watching a put-upon assistant suddenly hold all the power over an insufferable celebrity, and the series gets a lot of mileage out of the role reversal. The early payback chapters are genuinely funny.

Ji-eon carries it well. She's relatable and easy to root for, exhausted and broke in a way a lot of readers will recognize, and the slow thaw from mutual irritation into real affection is sweet without being saccharine. The enemies-to-something-more arc is the heart of it, and Doyun gets enough softening behind the arrogant-celebrity facade to make the pairing work rather than feel one-sided.

It's also a clean, breezy read. The full-color art is appealing, the tone is light, and at a complete length it tells its story and wraps up, which makes it an easy feel-good binge you can knock out over a weekend.

Where it falls short

It's light and predictable. The series hits standard rom-com beats with low stakes, and you'll generally see where the romance is heading well in advance. If you want surprises or depth, it's thin.

The magic-doll gimmick is also a bit of a missed opportunity. It's a fun way to start things, but it gets underused once the romance takes over, and it can feel contrived rather than fully woven into the story. The pacing dips here and there, and the melodrama gets routine, the usual genre friction. It's comfort food and doesn't aim past that.
