What it does well

Demon Slayer's strength is its emotional core. Tanjiro is one of the most genuinely decent heroes in shonen — he's kind even toward the demons he has to kill, and the series gives many of them tragic backstories that make their deaths land. That empathy runs through the whole thing and gives the action a surprising amount of feeling.

It's also clean and easy to follow as a story. The goal is clear, the stakes are personal, and it never gets bogged down in convoluted lore.
